Riyadh’s Landmark Sports Tower to Be Managed by OVG Middle East

Saudi Arabia has taken another major step in developing Riyadh as a global sports destination by selecting OVG Middle East to oversee operations of the upcoming Global Sports Tower. The project forms part of the ambitious Sports Boulevard initiative, which is one of the key developments supporting the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals.

The Global Sports Tower is expected to become the tallest dedicated sports tower in the world. Designed as a modern hub for fitness, recreation, and professional sports, the tower will include dozens of sports facilities catering to athletes, residents, and visitors alike.

Among the tower’s main attractions will be a record-breaking indoor climbing wall and a high-level running track equipped with advanced digital features. The facility will also offer spaces for sports such as basketball, football, tennis, squash, padel, martial arts, and fitness training.

The tower is being developed as a centerpiece of Riyadh’s wider Sports Boulevard project, a large-scale urban transformation plan stretching across the city. The project aims to create greener public spaces, improve quality of life, and encourage more active lifestyles through cycling paths, walking trails, parks, and entertainment zones.

OVG Middle East was chosen because of its international experience in operating sports arenas, entertainment venues, and hospitality projects. The company is expected to help deliver world-class visitor experiences and attract international sporting events to the Saudi capital.

Saudi Arabia has been rapidly expanding its investments in sports and entertainment over recent years, hosting global events across football, motorsports, boxing, and esports. The Global Sports Tower is another major addition to the Kingdom’s efforts to position Riyadh as a leading destination for sports tourism and large-scale entertainment projects.

Once completed, the tower is expected to become both a major tourist attraction and a symbol of Riyadh’s ongoing transformation into a modern and active global city.
