Saudi Arabia Promotes Yemen Rebuilding Initiatives at World Urban Forum
Saudi Arabia presented its Yemen reconstruction and development projects at the World Urban Forum held in Baku, Azerbaijan. The projects are being carried out through the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY).
During the forum, Saudi officials highlighted the Kingdom’s efforts to support Yemen through infrastructure development and humanitarian projects. The presentation focused on improving living conditions and helping rebuild essential services in areas affected by conflict.
The projects include the construction and rehabilitation of:

Saudi Arabia stated that these projects are aimed at supporting long-term stability and economic recovery in Yemen.
Transportation projects are helping improve connectivity between cities and communities, while healthcare projects are focused on improving access to medical services. Education initiatives include rebuilding schools and supporting learning facilities for students.
The Kingdom also highlighted water and electricity projects designed to improve daily life and support sustainable development.
At the forum, Saudi representatives said reconstruction is important for creating economic opportunities, supporting communities, and encouraging regional stability.
The participation at the World Urban Forum also reflects Saudi Arabia’s growing role in international development and infrastructure investment. While the Kingdom continues major projects under Vision 2030 at home, it is also increasing its involvement in regional development initiatives.
